According to a readers poll conducted by Condé Nast Traveller, Udaipur's Lake Palace is the best hotel in Asia, while Eden Rock Hotel in St Barths in the Caribbeans is the world's best hotel for 2016.

CNT readers voted the Eden Rock Hotel in St Barths in the Caribbeans as the world’s best hotel. Part of the Oetker Collection, which includes The Lanesborough in London and Le Bristol in Paris – the Eden Rock received the honour in the 2016 Condé Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Travel Awards.

To add to our delight an Indian hotel has been named as the best hotel not only in the Indian subcontinent but also across Asia. The prestigious accolade has been received by the Taj Lake Palace Hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

The magnificent and royal Lake Palace built in 1746 is an enthralling heritage of a bygone era. The place earlier known as Jag Niwas has 17 grand suites and over 60 luxurious rooms. Situated on an island in the middle of Lake Pichola, neighbouring City Palace, Aravalli Hills, Machla Magra Hills and Jag Mandir, it offers the best possible view of the city.

According to the readers’ votes, The St Regis Bora Bora Resort, French Polynesia, is the best hotel in the ‘Australasia and the South Pacific region’, while Singita Grumeti, Tanzania, is the best hotel in the ‘Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean’ category.
